Abstrakti
A recently published digital dataset, Itiner-e, is said to be the most detailed and comprehensive dataset of the Roman transport network containing a digital map available also for the general public on the internet. Yet, for an educated eye, already a quick peek on the map reveals unexpected inaccuracies. My paper approaches some of the incorrectnesses found on ancient Via Salaria and Via Tiburtina at the proximity of Rome.
